Elena Boffetta is an award-nominated video journalist and documentary filmmaker.

 

She is currently the Video Coordinator for West Africa at Agence France-Presse, overseeing coverage in Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, and Cabo Verde.

Her work has been published in multiple international news organizations including The Associated Press, The New York Times, Al Jazeera English, National Geographic and the BBC.

She has a bachelor degree in English and International Relations from the University of Delaware and a masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University. ​
